FAQ

Digital Resources that can be printed Anywhere in the world from the comfort of your own home.

1. What are learning adventures?

Learning adventure teaches multiple subjects through one central theme using multi-sensory, visual-spatial, movement-based, hands-on and flexible learning tools designed specifically to support curious, active, hands-on, visual and neurodiverse learners.

2. What makes this resource different?

Concepts are explored through movement, hands-on learning, creating, building, discussion, drama, art, presenting, watching and reflection allowing children to actively process and retain what they learn.  Flexible choices, optional brain breaks, and calming supports help learners stay regulated and engaged -  so confidence grows, understanding deepens and learning truly lasts.

3. What ages are the learning adventures designed for?

This series includes three categories: Ages 5–7: Early Explorers, Ages 7–9: Growing Adventurers, and Ages 10+: Emerging Navigators.

4. How many lessons per week should I do?

It depends on your child. Many families use 2 lesson per week for 5 weeks, 1 lesson per week for 10 weeks. Each lesson takes about 3-3.5 hours.  You can also spread a lesson across two days or a week if that suits your learner better.  It can also easily be printed and binded to take on a holiday or camping trip and completed on a flexible schedule.

5. How long does each lesson take?

Each part follows a predictable flow with built-in brain breaks, regulating tools and movement-based tasks. As every child works at a different pace, the total time will vary—it is designed to keep learning calm, engaging, and manageable.. Most families find that one lesson takes around 3–3.5 hours of learning, but some take longer and spread the learning over 2 days rather than in one sitting.  It is a flexible learning program designed to adapt to each learner so time it takes will vary greatly.

6. Do I need to print the whole PDF?

It is recommended to print the whole "Learning Adventure" and ring-bind it for ease of use, smooth lesson flow, and quick access to visual supports, icons, and activity pages but you can also choose to only print the activity pages and save on ink!

7. What are the picture icons for?

Icons help children follow the lesson flow (warm-up, listen, play, see, create, calm) and identify movement prompts, break prompts, fidget prompts, and learning output options.

8.How do the brain breaks work?

Each part includes optional 5-minute brain break prompts to help children reset, regulate, and refocus. A full brain break menu is provided in the Appendix.

9.How do I use the movement-based learning menu?

Every part includes a movement activity. Look for the red “Move & Learn” envelope icon and follow the movement menu in the Appendix.

10. Is this a faith-based resource?

Yes. The Learning adventure is presented from a Biblical world view and includes Christian themes such as creation, Biblical encouragement, and Scripture-based inspiration woven throughout.

11. Does this work for children with ADHD, autism, dyslexia, or twice-exceptional learners?

Yes. This resource is flexible, multi-sensory and supports sensory needs, visual processing strengths, flexible expression, focus and emotional regulation.

12. What materials do I need?

Most materials are affordable, everyday items found at home or low cost stores (playdough, cardboard, markers, popsicle sticks, glue, etc.). A full materials list is included.

13. Can siblings of different ages use the study together?

Yes. These are designed as family-style resources.  Families can complete the same lesson together using the appropriate age-specific studies for each learner.

14. Is this a digital product and how do I access it?

Yes. This is a digital download only. After purchase, an instant download link will be provided on-screen and by email.

15. Do I need to prepare anything before starting each learning adventure?

Prep is minimal and lessons are open & go. Many parents prepare by printing the lesson, gathering materials, and reviewing the FAQ and lesson flow chart pages at the beginning of each study.

16. Is this learning adventure suitable for children who are not yet strong readers or who prefer to learn visually?

Absolutely. Lessons can be read aloud by an adult or older sibling, and the study uses visual icons, diagrams, illustrations, and hands-on activities so children can learn without needing to rely heavily on reading.

17. Will future "learning adventures" follow the same structure as The Tiny Architect Series?

Yes. Each unit will follow the same neurodiverse-friendly design—predictable lesson flow, visual icons, sensory supports, movement opportunities, and flexible learning choices—so families can move from one study to the next with ease and confidence.
